“The property location was excellent but the cleanliness of the room was very poor. The headboard, couch, and carpet were all stained. The sheet had a small tear in it. The wardrobe had a pile of dust, and the bathroom floor under the vanity hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. Room 111.”

Lovely 1920s building, helpful staff, attractive bar, good location for many sites and on a number of bus routes (Canberra is not a very pedestrian-friendly city). Only quibble would be that, as one of the, possibly the, leading hotel(s) in the Commonwealth capital, a wider selection of Australian wines, and notably some from the smaller wine regions (for example, Beechworth, VIC) could be available.”

Struttura ben arredata ma che lascia molto a desiderare per quanto riguarda pulizia; abbiamo dovuto chiamare housekeeping per togliere la polvere nella stanza sopra i quadri e sopra le lampadine delle abat-jour dove c'era uno strato di polvere che non veniva tolto forse da mesi, l'abbiamo fatto notare alla reception. “Good little hotel, not much around it- fair distance to Brandon shops /so be papered to walk. Roof top bar is nice although limiting when it comes to menu choice”

“The hotel is excellent and the staff are helpful. It is our hotel of choice when coming to Canberra. Have stayed there multiple times. Rooms are well appointed and they give you plenty of space.”
