“Great pub/hotel/bistro in a beautiful peaceful village. Staff were extremely helpful. We had a wedding with so needed an early check-in and late return. Both were accommodated for. Room was clean, fresh. Continental breakfast was included in price. We also paid extra for cooked b/fast. Very nice freshly cooked, hot, good quality products. Nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely recommend the Star Inn and stay there again. Or even go for a nice meal. Give it a go ! ”

“So, a one night stay for Donington Park and it was a head on a pillow. The property is in dire need of an uplift. It felt like I was staying in a care home to be honest. The food in the restaurant was excellent but the atmosphere, oh my days,so quiet and sterile. Get some background music on...... And no air-conditioning.”

“Room was a generous size, bed really comfy, towels a good size and curtains full length and thick, keeping the light out so enabling us to sleep on in the morning. Room looked a bit tired but there was some redecorating going on in the hotel. Problem with the shower in that water temperature was too hot and couldn't be reduced. Staff member had a go at fixing this on a temporary basis until maintenance person available. We were there to attend a function. This was held in a lovely modern room in...

“Looked clean but wasn’t as I found bug in the towels . Also during the heatwave didn’t provide air fan but after many requests they did . Outside my window was bench with sitting people which made us to not open the curtains”
