The Space:

Designed for easy coastal living, Wakainga opens to three generous decks, giving guests plenty of space to spread out, dine outdoors, or simply enjoy the sun and sea breeze.



The main living level features a bright open-plan lounge, dining, and fully equipped kitchen. Full-width bi-fold doors open the entire space to the upper deck, creating a seamless indoor–outdoor living experience.



Two bedrooms sit on this level, while downstairs offers a quiet second zone with its own bedroom, bunkroom, and full bathroom, ideal for families or friends travelling together.

Bedroom 1: King bed + ensuite bathroom

Bedroom 2: Two single beds (can be made into a super king)

Guest Access:

Check-in is from 2:00 pm



Check-out is 10:30 am



Early check-in or late check-out may be available for a fee, depending on same-day bookings



Guests have full access to the home, decks, and garden areas

Getting Around:

Wakainga is close to the main Oneroa bus routes, making it easy to explore without a car.



Buses run from nearby stops through Oneroa village, onwards past Onetangi, and on to key wineries including Mudbrick, Cable Bay, The Heke Brewery & Distillery, and restaurants across the island. They continue to the Matiatia passenger ferry for smooth connections to Auckland.



Taxis and shuttles are available but are expensive due to the high price of petrol on Waiheke.



There is easy parking at the property if you’re bringing a vehicle.



Other Things to Note:

Rainwater tank: please conserve water during your stay



The bunkroom has no door



The outdoor areas have elevated sections, supervision recommended for young children



Minimum stays: 7 nights mid-Dec to mid-Jan, 3 nights on holiday weekends, 2 nights at all other times



Interaction with Guests:

The Stay Waiheke team is available 7 days a week, 8:30am–5:00pm.
