Hotel vicino a Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island - Fort Walton Beach

“Exceptional hotel. Clean room. Courteous staff. Delicious breakfast. Nice spacious rooms. Only problem i experienced was NOT with the actual room, it was with the booking through Expedia. Traveling with a family of 4, including a child so space was very valuable for a 2 night stay. I booked a room with 2 queen beds, a sofabed, and balcony. Room was confirmed by Expedia. However, when I arrived at the hotel, the staff kindly informed me that they did not have such room available that I booked....

“The pool and bar environment were awesome. Even a DJ every day with entertainment. There was maintenance all day. All staff were friendly including cleaning crew. Yes, I would highly recommend this place and I plan to come back again at any time.”

“Update everything”

“This is the farthest thing from a resort. No amenities other than a dirty pool. This property is falling apart. “Housekeeping” leaves towels in your room.. no beds are made - nothing is cleaned or wiped down. I wore shoes in the shower because it was so dirty. There were cockroaches in the lobby and spiders in the room. Zero beach amenities - those have to be rented for $50-100 a day.. no snorkeling/water activities on site.. the charge you $131 resort fee - $15/day for parking - and $250...

“The Hampton Inn was a perfect retreat for my kids and I and only steps from the beach. It is not the fanciest place around, but it was clean, had a great breakfast and the perfect place for us for a quick trip to the beach! We could walk to restaurants and the beach was just right there! We would certainly come back on our next trip down south!”

“I arrived early, went on to let them know. Was immediately told by the owner, I presume, your check in is at 4, I said I understand, was just letting them know I was there… he told me to go get lunch, said I already did, next door. He asked for my cell number and would call me when it was ready. I went to another restaurant on the other side of the hotel. Walked over right at 4, since I never received a phone call, room was ready. Went to the room and it had the most awful smell, no idea...

“Upon check-in the room had not been throughly cleaned, there were dirty items left from previous occupant and the carpet had not been vacuumed.”

“Five-night stay. Our room was fresh, clean, and well maintained. Kudos to the housekeeping staff. The outdoor pool area was immaculate. The elevators were always clean. And extra gratitude to the breakfast kitchen staff. A spotlessly clean breakfast buffet and dining area. The food was delicious and the variety was impressive. The nicest you could ask for. We always look for a Hampton when we travel, and the Ft. Walton Beach hotel is one of the nicest we have ever stayed at.”

“We waited almost 10 minutes at the front desk for the agent to come back to the front desk and check us in. Then there were being unattended, loud and obnoxious children in the lobby, which the agent saod somwtbing to them as he was coming back to the desk. Later there were children running up and down and talking loudly in the hallway during quiet hours. There was only apples and bananas for fruit at breakfast. More fruit options would be great. There was not very much for breakfast for a guest...

“Simone and all the staff were so friendly and amazingly helpful. We had our 2 little dogs with us and the room was perfect. Nice and big and it was very clean. Coffee in the morning was delicious as well. Nice big area to walk the dogs too. Great place to stay with animals. 😊”

“The night time general manager was very friendly and personable. She made sure we got the room we needed due to my daughter being in a wheelchair. I would stay here again.”
