“This is such a beautiful property that really immerses you in the nature of San Ignacio. Rose cooked fresh breakfast everyday that was absolutely delicious, and her and her husband were super kind. I also rented a car from Rod, who was also super nice, so I had such a smooth experience getting from place to place. “We had a wonderful experience at the black rock lodge, the staff is amazing and you can feel how passionate they are about their work. The Tikal visit is a must. We had an amazing day on site with our guide Noel, we learnt so much about Mayan history and jungle fauna. We did also the hike to the summit and the night walk with the guide. Both great. “My room with a thatched roof was cozy and comfortable. Lots of hot water in the shower! Staff very friendly and helpful. I ate in dining room a couple times. Food and service excellent! Within walking distance to food stores, bank, some restaurants. Look forward to staying here again.”
