All the reasons people love to holiday in Bright is literally at your back door when you stay at Platypus Bend. This home backs directly onto the Ovens river and Canyon walk, plus one of the most photographed stretches of the Canyon walk and its glowing golden poplars is mere minutes out your back gate.

Recently renovated, this holiday home offers light, space, a bright and uplifting style in a perfect location that’s quiet and close to everything.

Located in Bright, Platypus Bend is the perfect family holiday retreat, suitable for one, two or even three small families and would also be a great choice for a group of friends.
With 5 bedrooms, 3 fitted with queen beds and the other two decked out with bunks this home can comfortably sleep up to 10 people and is one of only a handful of holiday accommodation in Bright that has a swimming pool which families will love on Summer days & nights.

Every bedroom enjoys glorious sunlight with large windows and all bar one have the convenience of built-in robes. The master bedroom enjoys the added bonus of a private ensuite & walk in robe. The main bathroom has been renovated with delicious soft pink tiles, beautiful fittings and a deep bath to soak the hours away after a day on the slopes.

A drying cupboard, along with a boot, shoe and glove drying rack is going to make this the ideal choice in Bright accommodation for the outdoor enthusiasts, allowing you to stay cosy and dry. An added bike shed means you can keep all your valuable sporting gear safely locked away too.

This home is perfect for every season. The lovely in-ground swimming pool with al fresco dining areas means you and your family can bask away on those hot summers days in the comfort of your own holiday home.

Beautiful Bright Property

We stayed at this property for the Bright Rod Run weekend with a group of 10. The house is very well appointed, spacious, and has great outdoor amenities. The property manager team are extremely helpful and responsive. Overall, we highly recommend this property and we can’t wait to be back again.
