“No great poorly managed”

“THIS HOTEL IS FILTY! FLIES, ROACH, BUGS ARE PRESENT. FLOOR IS FILTHY, phone from the 1900 is broken and there is no dial tone for emergency situation. TV NOT WORKING CROOKED, FRIDGE DOES NOT OPEN, TOWELS ARE DIRTY. SINK IS DIRTY. WE HAVE TO LEAVE THE PROPERTY AT 5am as we cannot stand the condition of this property. We checked in around 11pm! I WANT MY MONEY BACK!”

“This is a spectacular little boutique hotel in downtown Norfolk. The location is great for walking to the theater and the water district. There’s dining everywhere. The biggest bonus is the glass art museum that’s included with your stay.”

“Breakfast, and the staff in the breakfast area, were great. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful at check-in and every morning. The room was comfortable (the air conditioner was pretty loud when the compressor kicked in). The shower was great. The only problem was that housekeeping never came to clean or replenish the towels in the six days we stayed, even when we stopped by the front desk in the morning to inform them that we would be away for the day. “The property was clean. Not exceptional. Staff helpful. Breakfast not the greatest. The stay was nice but for the price they need to upgrade. Carpet definitely needs to be changed.”

“The staff were polite and helpful. However, the hotel did not have an accessible room with a waterside view. I booked two rooms, we had to call down to reception to have the rooms cleaned two days in a row. The entire hotel needed to be overhauled and renovated, it appeared very run down. I have family who resides in the area and I would not stay there again.”

“We came to our room about 1:30am and there was no towels or wash cloths in room so that we can take a shower. My son went downstairs the next morning around 9 am and the lady said that they had no clean linens. How you didn’t have any the whole day before or the next morning. Did they check the rooms. So mad I had to go buy towels to wash”

“The staff is great. They must have kept my notes from a prior stay, they put me in a corner room/ top floor which was surprisingly quiet and peaceful. Bed linens impeccably clean. Interior of the room clean and well maintained. That said, cosmetically speaking, the property is showing signs of wear, which is to be expected, I suppose. Overall, this is a great value, with a friendly and attentive staff, where you can get a peaceful night's sleep despite it being in a somewhat busy area of...

“Staff is excellent! Safety is good. Property already needs repairs. Water leaking around light in the shower. Room above not in use. Hot water took 20 minutes to warm the shower or reach kitchen sink. Rooms looked clean but, Found trash behind a dresser. Sticky spots on counters and in drawers next to bed. Ants in shower. Lights are led and strangely wired. Smell of a gas leak near EV chargers. All was brought to staff attention and included maintenance. No one could offer us any help beyond...
