“No great poorly managed”

“Broken wash basin, damaged entrance door lock, no shade for the lamp, no toliet roll to hold toliet paper, no plug in for the shower to fill up, hole in the bath tub that water could get into to damage downstairs.It was room #218 that we was stuck with. At first, we were given room 128 but found out everything was so dirty - unmade beds, dirty towels piled up and drinks were left on the table, so we protested. “This is a spectacular little boutique hotel in downtown Norfolk. The location is great for walking to the theater and the water district. There’s dining everywhere. The biggest bonus is the glass art museum that’s included with your stay.”

“The staff were polite and helpful. However, the hotel did not have an accessible room with a waterside view. I booked two rooms, we had to call down to reception to have the rooms cleaned two days in a row. The entire hotel needed to be overhauled and renovated, it appeared very run down. I have family who resides in the area and I would not stay there again.”

“Staff is excellent! Safety is good. Property already needs repairs. Water leaking around light in the shower. Room above not in use. Hot water took 20 minutes to warm the shower or reach kitchen sink. Rooms looked clean but, Found trash behind a dresser. Sticky spots on counters and in drawers next to bed. Ants in shower. Lights are led and strangely wired. Smell of a gas leak near EV chargers. All was brought to staff attention and included maintenance. No one could offer us any help beyond...

“Breakfast, and the staff in the breakfast area, were great. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful at check-in and every morning. The room was comfortable (the air conditioner was pretty loud when the compressor kicked in). The shower was great. The only problem was that housekeeping never came to clean or replenish the towels in the six days we stayed, even when we stopped by the front desk in the morning to inform them that we would be away for the day. The TV was very loud when it came...

“The property was clean. Not exceptional. Staff helpful. Breakfast not the greatest. The stay was nice but for the price they need to upgrade. Carpet definitely needs to be changed.”

“Great for families! Room view was beautiful! All the art work around was also beautiful!”

“The building and the staff were great! Such a cute property and a really nice room. Only downside was that it was pretty loud due to traffic noise outside (and an early morning party in the parking lot next door). But the staff and amenities were really top notch, and breakfast was very tasty both days!”

“some one either threw up or spilled liquid on rug inside front entrance. they put a wet floor sign up til it dried then left the dried mess there all weekend. 4 of us were staying in the room, when we arrived we had 2 washcloths nothing else!! called front desk and was told they couldn’t leave desk so we went down to pick up towels and were told they were in dryer , come back in 10 minutes. that could have been explained when we first called them…. the rod holding our shower curtain was hanging...
