“This entire experience was nothing short of amazing. At first I was apprehensive to live completely off the grid but after staying here I would definitely do it again. When we first arrived the host met us, gave us an entire tour of his property, including his beautiful animals as well as explaining what it’s like to live off grid. Made us feel right at home as if we had been friends a long time. The home was cozy, it does get a little cold so be prepared. The grill and fire pit was a nice touch...

“This property was unique and we're so happy to chose to stay here.Pros: The views are incredible and the outdoor living spaces were very comfortable - in particular we spent a lot of time on the high top chairs, sofa bed, and two person dining table. The kitchen was fully stocked and operational with everything we needed. The bedroom was perfectly sized and comfortable. It was so easy to access Manini Beach (you can walk). By staying in Captain Cook you have a much more "locals" experience....

“We loved our stay at the exquisite Sweet Mermaid Studio! The setting is a magical tropical paradise! The building has only 2 units; this is the downstairs apt. The studio is roomy and had everything we didn't think we needed... including a coffee grinder (when we realized we got coffee beans, not ground!) and snorkling gear in a variety of sizes as well as water toys! It's very quiet; we loved falling asleep each night to all the tropical frog sounds from the pond and mango trees outside. ...
