“We love staying at this hotel. The staff are really helpful nothing is too much trouble. The hotel also has some really thoughtful touches like providing rain ponchos for guests heading to shows at the outdoor open air theatre. When we came back from the show we were abit cold so we loved that we could grab a complimentary hot chocolate from the lounge. They are also showing the World Cup at the hotel Cinema. Touches like this make it a really special place to stay. Can’t wait to visit again!”

“We were given a parking permit to puchase once we stopped outside to ask about parking which was fine, the room was wonderful and the staff were very helpful at all time, will def sty again if in the area.”

“Staff, meals location and facilities excellent. Very welcoming. Be aware that the secure free parking is what it says, but for some (like us with limited mobility) it is a bit of a challenging walk back to the main building. Otherwise a very satisfying stay.”

“Very welcoming smart guest house. Room was a good size and very comfortable, bathroom was very modern and spotless, there's also a lift.”

“Top floor room which was adequate for our one night stay to see a band locally. The adjoining Pub was excellent. Our only gripe was there was no hot water at 9 am despite running taps for several minutes. ”

“Hotel was ok, cleaning standards need to be improved, room servicing needs to be better and no AC in rooms just fans. There is no parking and you need to get a permit from the sister hotel, if they give it to you, permit cost £10 for day and expires at 1:30pm next day. Staff wer helpful at reception and bar, however drinks cost were high. Proximity to main areas was fantastic.”

“The property was clean and the communication from the owners was good. However it does need some time spending on getting things sorted. All the beds need new mattresses we had to put all the duvets down to sleep on top of and even brought an air bed due to being so uncomfortable. Some other minor points, the kettle lid was broken and could only be opened by picking from the side (not safe when hot). The curtain rail in the main bedroom was hanging out of the room. We ended up leaving a day...

“Very friendly staff, clean and tidy. Good atmosphere. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Probably the best one we have stayed in in Scarborough and we have stayed in quite a few! Unfortunately unable to access the restaurant for dinner as fully booked, but breakfast was delicious and well presented. Will definitely return.”

“We stayed over for the concert at the open air. The hotel was clean and well maintained- all the staff were polite and friendly. Our room was clean. The bar was lovely and the restaurant and breakfast was perfect. The en-suite was very small but clean. The only thing that would have meant full star rating would have been a better parking arrangement, - a quality mattress and blackout curtains. That being said we would definitely stay here again.”

“The staff were very helpful and accommodating. Our luggage was safely stored when we checked out. The room was tidy and had a nice bathroom. Included in the room was a kettle and a nice selection of coffee and tea. The breakfast had a good variety of tasty food including a full cooked breakfast, omelettes, toasties and smoked salmon bagels. The hotel is close to North Bay beach, Peasholm Park, Scarborough Castle, South Bay Beach, the North Bay Miniature Railway and Sealife Scarborough...

“Had a great stay. Only downside was the size of the en-suite. It was rather small in our standard room. Hasn’t put us off staying again though at sometime in the future.”
