“The bathroom was very dated. It looked like a nursing home. The flooring was extremely old. The bed was too low. Only one bath towel for 2 people. It was definitely not up to standard for a Hub. The staff was friendly and made you feel welcomed. But this hotel needs serious renovations. ”

“Had a lovely nights stay - very comfortable bed, lovely size room with everything we could want. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, fresh fruits and lots of biscuit in the room which was extremely clean. Had a great welcoming from the owners on arrival with freshly baked flap jacks and lots of local knowledge shared. A book regarding the building was also an interesting read. We had breakfast (optional) which consisted of lots cold options, fresh fruits, juices cereals etc. Then a full range for any...

“A very pleasant stay - stayed for a couple of nights whilst working in the area. All staff were very pleasant. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The hotel is in a very quiet area with lots of scenic countryside around to see. Just be aware that the rooms are on the 3rd floor and there are only stairs for access, but that is to be expected with a listed building.”

“Stayed here as an overnight stop after visiting friends in Market Drayton, very impressed, every aspect of our stay was perfect. Our room had been recently redecorated and was in pristine condition, good and comfortable bed, bathroom a little on the small side but perfectly fine. Nice, quiet countryside location, set in lovely grounds in a historic house in which Garibaldi stayed during his visit to Britain. “The Barns Hotel is a great place to stay. Staff are very accommodating and friendly, room was comfortable and clean and there is free parking. The restaurant served reasonably priced food and the breakfast was lovely. The manager kept the bar open until we had all returned from a local festival. We would stay here again in the future 😁 ”
