“We had a lovely stay and would highly recommend this property. The host was very helpful and provided all the information we needed. The property was clean, comfortable, and had everything required for our stay. Breakfast was good, and the available parking was very convenient. We also appreciated the thoughtful touch of finding a small Bible in the drawer.Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would gladly return.”

“What a beautiful property so perfect in every aspect, breakfast at the Eskimo Arms Inn across the street was great. Location was amazing just park the car and everything including the castle is at your door step. Our only mistake was only booking one night!”

“So after reading comments from others, good and bad, I believe this hotel has a two tier room system. The front looks good and is ground level. The back is seedy and it seems they haven't made any attempts to do even small things to make up for the dated rooms. The restaurant was good, staff were great. Room was not clean but at least the sheets were, which was appreciated. It looked like the floor had been mopped without vacuuming, small pebbles, what may or may not have been a toenail etc....

“Sue and Mike were the perfect hosts from the minute we stepped into their amazing home Our room was so comfortable and cosy and we had everything we needed for a perfect stay In the morning we had a wonderful breakfast prepared by Mike and we all had a good chat over the breakfast table Nothing was too much trouble for Sue and Mike and I’m so excited to be going back in a few weeks See you soon x”

“Spa was great and staff were lovely but the room was in need of some tlc there was holes in the wall from previous fixings and the shower head was covered in mildew and limescale. The breakfast cost £15 per person and when it arrived to the table it looked nothing like a £15 breakfast which was a disappointing end to the stay unfortunately”

“La proprietaria molto gentile e premurosa. Colazione abbondante e tipica inglese. Unico appunto, le tende non sono oscuranti, per chi ha il sonno leggero al mattino la stanza si illumina presto”

“A parte le colazioni calde che erano ottime, le camere sono decisamente sporche, sembrava che le cameriere sistemassero solo il letto (bottiglie vuote non tolte, una farfalla é rimasta a terra morta per 3 notti, capelli non nostri in bagno….). Positivo, le colazioni calde davvero buone. Non ci tornerei più e non lo consiglio!!!!”

“Restaurant closes pretty early 8 o clock- and few choices available even 15-20 minutes before closing time. But overall ok”

“We had an amazing stay here. The rooms were lovely and the beds very comfortable. We loved the suite with its living area and the breakfast was delicious. The hosts could not have done more. So friendly and helpful. They also had lots of games and toys and a garden which were great for the kids. ”
