“The juice on check-in was very tasty. The staff were really friendly, and not in the performative way, but in the "yeah, we run this place and we care" way. The rooms were hip and classy. Breakfast (french toast, pancakes, chicken sausage, hash browns) was all top notch, and at a price that would feel like a reasonably-good value at a restaurant that didn't have the typical hotel markup. Almost stayed in town an extra night to eat the breakfast again.”

“There was no free breakfast. The room had the air and heat unit controlled with a thermostat that did not allw for just the dan to run we tried to have the ac on with a higher temp and it would not work. Set at 69 the air blowing out was so cold you froze. My mom has breathing issues and the room got very stuffy so she did not get good rest before our flight. “I witnessed a lot, and I stay here frequently when I travel to the Chicago area. People on the top floor are smoking with the windows open. CRACKHEADS walking in and out of the side doors. Lots of men standing around the side entrance doors smoking weed (I respect them doing it outside more than their rooms but move away from the entrance door at least). The elevator was trashy. He went off to the side for longer than normal and comes back and starts punching in numbers on the credt card machine and gives me a receipt to sign.
