“We have never stayed in Townsend before during all of our stays to the Smokies. I loved being away from the hustle of crowds. The Parkman was the first place I googled for Townsend area. They allowed my pet which was a must. The room and property were both clean. The staff were polite. It was just me and the hubby for our 10 year anniversary, so the room given was perfect. I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in Townsend.”

“To start with the sign is covered by bushes and can't be read. Room had strange smell. Drawers barely opened and smelled of mothballs. No toiletries. Breakfast was cereal or toast. Cereal looked like it was there for years. Front desk staff were very abrupt.”

“I didnt like the smell in the lobby or the strip lights in the room. The bathroom looked like the bathtub had been refinished poorly and not cleaned behind the bathroom door. The pool looked like it hadn't been open for years. There were bricks in the bottom with no water. We arrived about 1:00 and she did let us check in use til 3:00. “I liked the continental breakfast to get the day started. Parking was fine. Room smelled moldy and musty, like old rug and old furniture. Lighting was terrible, not bright enough to do my make up or read. Terrible light in the bathroom, hard to use shower with a 20 watt bulb, that’s what it looks like. “The laundry room only took coins. It would be nice if they had a digital payment option. They only clean room after 3 day stay which is fine, but they forgot to stock us back up with towels and toilet paper. Staff was friendly and breakfast was good.”
