“At first I thought “ what did I get myself into” because the hotel is old . But then quickly realized that it’s old but high quality hotel . Awesome staff members such as Sarah , Glen and maintenance guy Joseph . The property and its surroundings are AMAZING ! And a pleasure to explore the wilderness / suburbs settings along with the creativity of the town of Simsbury . Plenty of restaurants and stores nearby immediately. They have a park/ frog pond in back of 1820 Hotel along with walking...

“We stayed one night on our way to Maine form Maryland. Our 1st floor room in the carriage house was cozy. Our favorite part of our stay was having breakfast in the morning room. The host served and prepared a wonderful breakfast -the fruit salad was the best ever. An improvement would be to have grab bars installed in the tub.”

“The property is excellent, although I think the bed is too high. The shower is fabulous, the climate control system is great. Breakfast was excellent. My wife and I did not like the town, or the surrounding towns, but we did find really nice restaurants for dinners.”
