“We chose The Market Tavern because of it's location - it is in the same village where our son, daughter-in-law and new grandson live and we were visiting.
The whole property has been tastefully renovated and is lovely. We had eaten in the pub before but not stayed.
Bampton is a quaint village with plenty of amenities and is well placed for visiting lots of interesting places.
Breakfast was good with cold and cooked choices. Staff were friendly and attentive.

Fabulous. We were very impressed with the staff.
Alina was professional, polite and could not do enough to ensure our stay was what we had wanted and expected.
When we arrived (during one of the hottest days this year) the fan in our room did not seem to work. We went down to report the issue at 5pm then never thought anymore as we went for dinner. Upon our return a beautiful, brand new, large fan was waiting. They had rushed out and managed to find one, which was amazing. ...

Very comfortable rooms, the only thing that bothered me was the led light (safety feature) on the ceiling light: too bright.”
“The welcome was very friendly as was the Service. The room was sizeable with plenty of space and some nice unique decor. There were a couple of areas that need a little maintenance and just a dab of paint to tidy up here and there.
Location was ideal for us although it is located next to a fairly busy road if road traffic is something that annoys you. Overall, for us, it was a pleasant stay for what we were looking for.”
