“First of all, from the pictures we had seen on line, we thought we were getting a one-bedroom suite and was surprised it was only a hotel room with a pull-out couch. There was no safe in the room although it said so in the write-up. The pool did not have towels on two days and was not cleaned properly as there was a bandaid on the bottom and it was there on the next day. We were very pleased with the breakfast buffet and the extensive selection of food.”

“The staff was very friendly and the hotel is quite charming with history. Typical of Fairmont hotels. A great hotel for spoiling or treating others. I agree with the over all rating of the other hotel reviews of it. Recommend to stay at if interested in staying at. Just remember it is an old hotel of 1915 and has been updated since then.”

“No hot water for the evening - it was slightly lukewarm. Wife could not take a bath. Did not know I also had to pay an $25 per day for parking. The $25 adjacent Parkade was so old and so small that the Honda minivan could barely clear the ceiling. Good thing I did not take my truck and when we parked the spots were so small that either I had to crawl across to the passenger side to get out or had to stop in the middle of Parkade to let everybody out. “Nice hotel. It’s an older hotel that has been tastefully renovated. The rooms are clean and comfortable with everything you need. The hotel itself is well kept and maintained, the breakfast is very nice and is in a great location on Whyte Ave. We’ve been back a couple of times and would recommend.”
