“The morning breakfast, though free, was less than desirable. Probably would give it a 2-star rating (at best). The room was clean and generally well kept up (3-4 stars). The check-in process was undesirable as well (1 star). “The staff at Lakes Inn at Dunvilla is the epitome of Minnesota nice. I have never had such friendly and helpful treatment as was experienced during an overnight stay. We travelled through some scary weather on a rainy night to get there, arriving several hours later than planned. “The staff are awesome. Friendly, helpful, welcoming. No issues there at all. About the only issue I had was the cleanliness. It wasn't filthy, but the bathroom was pretty bad. I don't think it had been really cleaned in a while. Whoever stayed there before us, their shampoo & body wash samples that hotels give out were still in the shower. “It is a basement apt. There was no smoke detector. Very musty. We emptied the full dehumidifier but did not help. There are area rugs on top of area rugs throughout. Looks like it is to cover the water damage. Broken/missing tile in the tub/shower. There is nowhere to hang clothes. Tony was very responsive but we will not stay there again.”
