“Very relaxing property which we enjoyed while celebrating my wife's birthday. Great getaway to unplug and enjoy the natural setting. I highly recommend this property and the owner. Very informative and ready to assist. Can't go wrong perched in the "Crow's Nest"!”

“Very unique”

“A charming small house in a beautiful rural area. Hours went by without a car going by. Magnificent stars in the night sky.”

“Charming and cozy! Host was there anytime via text. PERFECT spot to enjoy a true cabin experience. Town people were so welcoming and helpful. River was mesmerizing. Planning to return hopefully soon!!”

“Everything went smoothly and enjoyed the cabin very much”

“Jerry is an exceptional host, made me and my gf feel like home. Couldn’t ask for a better location at Seneca Rocks to see Blackwater falls state park, Spruce Knob, smoke hole caverns and Triangle Rock. Theirs 2 restaurants and small essentials store next to the property walking distance too. So perfect, appreciate you Jerry!”

“Nice location”

“The property is clean and conveniently located.”

“This was our second trip to this property for a family reunion. No complaints at all. I wonder if there are any plans to put up handrails in the bathroom and the three stairs in the hall.”

“Had 3 families staying with a total of 18 people and we all had a blast. Plenty of space for family fun and solitude when needed. The home was a nice size and very clean. Fun home to spend time together and hang out. Check in and out was easy, host was very helpful. ACs and fans kept it cool and towels were super comfy/soft.”

“We loved this little cabin! The host was amazing and quick to reply to any questions. The cabin was adorable and so cozy. We plan to return in the Fall to see the leaves. We will be repeat visitors!”

“Great little cabin in a convenient location for hiking and climbing at Seneca Rocks. Communication was excellent, and the host was responsive and helpful throughout the stay. A great base for exploring the area.”

“This was a quaint quiet little getaway that the family needed. The cabin is cute and clean. Host was very friendly.”

“Overall this was an excellent stay. Couple of things would have been nice conveniences, for example, extra blankets, tissues, paper for the fireplace or a fireplace starter. The cabin had a tub, but no shower, which was slightly disappointing. The cabin was clean and comfortable otherwise. We were able to do exactly what we wanted, which was to disconnect for a few days!”

“Great place”

“Beautiful cabin in a remote yet convenient location. The view from the back porch/deck was amazing. A very relaxing place to come after a busy day of hiking and sightseeing.”

“Beautiful little property right by both Seneca rocks and Spruce Knob. Everything was super clean and worked great, couldn’t have asked for a better stay!”

“I found the Rusty Lantern is a beautiful home in the mountains. The rear porch is large with an awesome view. The large kitchen makes preparing meals simple. There is a large table in the kitchen and a huge picnic table on the back porch. The house and porches were perfectly clean, not a spider web in sight. If you want quiet, and I mean really quiet, the Rusty Lantern is for you.”
