“gorgeous place up in the woods. you wont see a neighbor or traffic. nice little brook out back with an excellent sound. Front porch rockin' chairs were a favorite. Franklin WV is 4 miles away with a few restaurants and groceries if you care. Kitchen was great and had all the necessary things. turn off all the lights and step outside at night and it is pitch black except for the stars. WIFI was very handy and TV had Samsung streaming apps.”

“For the most part the visit was peaceful & quiet. The biggest complaint was the cistern water was so smelly we couldn't even take a shower.”

“A little surprised how close the cabin was to the road. Expected it to be a little more remote. Also hard to start a fire in the fire pit. Would have been nice to have dry wood and fire starters. But otherwise great”

“Overall this was an excellent stay. Couple of things would have been nice conveniences, for example, extra blankets, tissues, paper for the fireplace or a fireplace starter. The cabin had a tub, but no shower, which was slightly disappointing. The cabin was clean and comfortable otherwise. We were able to do exactly what we wanted, which was to disconnect for a few days!”

“This is house an absolute gem. This home is nestled in the mountain forest, but very close to basic amenities and the Seneca Rock Visitors Center. The best part about our stay was the beautiful porch. Waking up to coffee, a view of Seneca Rock and surround sound birds was paradise. The beds were a dream - tons of pillows and so comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with spices and every gadget you need to prepare meals. A huge book of "things to do" and instructions for the property made our stay...

Didn’t get to hike as much as we hoped due to rainy weather but still managed to get out and explore nearby attractions. Host was easy to work with and ensured our visit was a good experience. “This home provided a great space for a long weekend stay. It was about 17 mins from the closest grocery store in Petersburg and 30 mins from Smoke Hole caverns. The home itself had everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen was fully stocked and there was coffee/coffee pot available. If a Keurig is important to you, you’d want to bring your own. The beds were clean and comfortable. There were a few ants in the kitchen that we had to get rid of. Be mindful that the home sits up on a hill so...
