“The room was hot and one window didn’t have a screen (or a lock), and the other full sized tip in window’s screen fell out. Screen could not be secured, and the tip in window couldn’t be secured. Anyone could have pushed it in from the walkway. Had to barricade the window with chair/desk for the night. A/c unit was the only way to cool the room, and it didn’t work that well. The door had no secondary locking system, so when the male housekeeper unlocked the door at 9am to let himself in we...

“The room was extremely dirty and mold was visible throughout. I will never go there again.”

“Good stay, comfy bed, helpful and friendly staff, but was very expensive (as everything seems to be in Kirkland Lake for some reason)”

“Very nice room, although strange to have a wall dividing the two beds! And the outlet for working at the desk was blocked by the desk, so I had to move the desk to plug in my laptop. And I would have liked the TV to be able to pivot, as it was to see if if I was anywhere but on the bed.”

“Good location, clean, modern building”

“Comfortable beds, otherwise a fairly basic hotel/motel. Breakfast was quite basic but very pleasant staff.”

“The building is in good condition with obvious renovarion throughout. This setup is usually my ideal out of town residence because I always spend two weeks to a month per stop. “For the price, the place was great.”

“The rooms felt brand new and spotless, and the check in process was staggeringly simple. And you are literally 5 feet from the water. We could not have had a better experience, and we also did a cosplay photoshoot on the property which has easy access to visually striking lakeside views. Which was made even better by the hosts having a genuine interest as well.Thank you so much guys, we'll be back and we'll be recommending you!”

“It's was a good place nice and quiet. Perfect to relax in peace . The only minus is the fire place is to small and the wood was still in big log so I prefer not to use it . But the owner are really fast to respond to.our need . Thanks again nice place”

“Prospectors is an excellant choice for travellers that want an economical, no-frills, clean hotel. The communication and service for questions/help was excellant. Very adequate no charge parking. Very close to ammenities like groceries, gas and "road house" food choices. We travelled as a group of 4 senior adults and the two bedroom, ground floor unit met our needs. If you want a fancy hotel room, Prospectors is probably not for you, but if you want a clean room with comfortable beds,...
