“We stayed at the golden sands by shangri-la in penang 5th to 8th of july. We had a beach /pool facing room which i would strongly recommend. Rooms are spacious and clean, buffet breakfast had a wide variety of food, plenty of pool activities and areas of entertainment for kids,I would highly recommend this hotel to any type of visitor ”

“Had a 3 bedroom suite on the top floor with beautiful see views. Very well set out with kitchen and a spacious lounge. The is a laundry which you can purchase tokens for at reception and a store with most essentials next to reception. The location is right on the beach with a good size infinity pool and gym on the 7th floor. There are drinking and eating options all around as well as a large mall with a supermarket 10 minutes walk away. Fantastic place we couldn't fault it.”

“Sehr schöne Anlage, wundervolle friedliche Atmosphäre und mit viel Liebe gestaltetes Hotel. Für Ruhesuchende ideal zum entspannen. Wunderschöne Zimmer und alles hat funktioniert. Leider sehr harte Kissen und Matratze. Lage ein wenig isoliert, keine Einkaufsmöglichkeiten fussläufig, man ist auf Taxi/Grab angewiesen. Nach Georgetown mit Grab ca 20-30 min. Zu Fuss an Hauptstrasse ohne Trotzoir zu gefährlich. 5min mit Grab wunderbare Rotis und Dosas, visavis vom Hudson Deli.”

“ The hotel does not provide sun umbrellas. They do not provide complimentary bottled water. The bathroom has a noisy fan that cannot be switched off. Breakfast and dinner have limited choice. No fruit was available. Some construction works ongoing. The beach is tiny and somehow dirty. Not comparable with Batu Ferringhi”

“E' difficile essere credibili riportando un giudizio cosi severo ma, il nostro consiglio è quello di evitare questo casermone datato. La struttura sorge nella baia di Tanjung bungah, spiaggia molto carina ma mare pessimo (questa non è una novità). Le note dolenti sono la struttura priva della corretta manutenzione e la sporcizia. Purtroppo salvo la pulizia in camera accettabile, il resto è da dimenticare. Piscina, sala colazione, zona antistante la spiaggia .... davvero in condizioni "precarie"....

“A great hotel! Friendly and welcoming staff, excellent facilities including rooftop pool and gym. Breakfast was very varied and plenty of it! It was great location for us just 4 minutes from the beach and some decent walks along the sea. Grab cabs were frequent and regular for the trips into George Town old district and very reasonable! I would stay there again and recommend it!”
