“We stayed in a building separate from the hotel in three large suites. The suites are quite large with three rooms and one with two bathrooms. There is a chess board in each suite. The view of vineyards and the quiet ambiance complements the memorable stay. The staff is very accommodating and the dinner at the hotel was fabulous. This is a 5 star hotel, but I would give it a 10 star experience. If you wish to create fond memories, this is the place to stay.”

“Lovely hosts with great local recommendations. Went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed . Spent a full day relaxing by the pool during a heat wave. Easy access to St Emilion. Comes with a bonus friendly fat chateau cat on the grounds.”

The hotel is beautifully furnished and decorated, in a lovely countryside setting with a beautiful view of the valley and vineyards. “We recommend La Villa des Vignes unreservedly. Outstanding hospitality, aesthetics, lovely library/lounge and location. Clean, comfortable beds, gorgeous views from the breakfast room and its terrace, peaceful and quiet. There is no food except for breakfast so for snack lovers we recommend bringing a few provisions. But there is a small grocery store 2 minutes walk away so not a non-issue for us.”
