“We found the location to be on the right side of isolated. We quickly fell in love with the Taff Bargoed Valley and its surrounds. Each day tempted us to take a new lane up into the moors and explore the places we were driving through to get to our chosen destination for that day.The dog walking area is close and a joy to walk to and through. The local shop is no distance and supplied enough for for our needs.The beds and pillows are comfy as is the sofa.Having a dishwasher was a bonus,...

“If you’re using it as a base, not a bad idea but keep in mind the place is pretty shabby, no shower available in the bathroom a bit smelly and very rundown no reinventing obviously. Put it this way there’s Spains on the chairs you sit on at dinner and there’s a layer of dust so thick it’s changed the colour of the lampshades in the dining room. A real shame as it’s a prime location.”

“Staff were welcoming and friendly. Hotel appearance looked good. Our bedroom and bathroom was clean and tidy buy very dated. Needs a fresh coat of paint and a shower cubicle instead of a shower over the bath it’s not safe for elderly people. There were toiletries to use. It would be economical to have a hand soap dispenser instead of a bar of soap. But we had an enjoyable stay.”

“What a lovely room at the top of a pub. Beautifully presented and pristine and lots of space although steep steps. There are a few quirks as to be expected in an old building but that didn’t put us off as we ourselves live in an old property. Communication was very good. Thank you for having us 😊”

“This place is a wip, but you can see they are making improvements and working hard to get it sorted. Was clean, warm and overlooking fantastic views which you would pay for in other venues. Food good. Activities like games and mags available, a bar and of course the bike.used as a stop off. Would stay again.”

“The staff were amazing but the hotel itself was very tired and requires a revamp. Our room had hair clumps on the floor can only presume it was from previous guests under the bed has never been hoovered in months, marks on towels and bedding. Furniture is very dated and marked .”

Il proprietario è stato gentile e premuroso per una prenotazione dell'ultimo momento, ci è stato un disguido per il pagamento ma risolto telefonicamente senza alcun problema l'indomani. Questo albergo l'ho trovato un piacevole soggiorno.”
