“This beautiful historic B&B was a joy to stay at. The breakfast was so delicious and had a great variety of items to choose from. I was especially impressed that with son with allergies to nuts, soy and dairy was able to eat the breakfast!”

“This time we stayed in the Cottage. It was a separate unit behind the main house. Easy to enter using the code I was emailed. The cottage was spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was large with a claw foot tub and a wraparound shower curtain. The room A/C was excellent. It was very comfortable all day and night. The ceiling fan was whisper quiet. The cottage included a kitchen area with a half-size refrigerator/freezer, counter top, cabinets, tableware, microwave, and a table....

“breakfast very good quality for standard fare. Would definitely recommend having a prearranged plan to get to hotel if going from Houston airport. Can be very expensive if cab or uber. Best to rent car. Be careful of being charged by both transportation driver and hotel for travel from and to airport. ”

“I’ve stayed at this location on 3 different occasions over the past several years and I’ve always been very happy each time. I particularly enjoy the pool bar(Longboards). The bartender, Tyler, was great; very friendly and personable, and great service. I definitely plan on making future stays.”

Joellyn was a fabulous host; she served delicious breakfast and offered several tips/ recommendations for activities around the island. The location of the home is near to several other historical landmarks/ museums, the Strand, and the Seawall. “It was a good location. Room was nasty and shower was filthy. They require a 50 dollar deposit. Comfort on bed and the sheets had holes in them the most filthiest room that I've ever stayed in I do not recommend this place at all and it's sad because it isn't a great location.”

Leaking toilet supply line (was fixed later on first day), water dripping from ceiling during rains, gap under entry door an inch high that could allow insects entry, cold water shower, slow draining bathroom sink, parking was on the street and first come first serve, television connection failed multiple times.
