The room was a bit dirty (hairs that were not mine, cup rings on the glass topped dresser, toothpaste marks on the glasses/mug). I appreciated the lamps with USB chargers and a window that opened. “We recently spent a night in a deluxe room to break up our return journey home from the Hebrides. We love older, quirky hotels and this one is a real gem. Firstly the grounds are stunning and our early morning walk beside the river was a wonderful way to start the day. The hotel itself has lots of character, but don't come here expecting polished perfection. Some areas of the hotel look a little tired and could do with refurbishing, but all the bits that mattered were fabulous and everywhere...
