“Melfort Village is terrific. Beautiful setting and marvellous accommodation. There is a pool, tennis court, putting green, restaurant /bar (great food)and lots of space. The staff are great, enthusiastic and helpful.Walks in the nearby hills or to the lochs. The Village is well placed for access to the magnificent nearby scenery (but do not follow the receptionist recommendation as to how to get to the falls - the road is a nightmare and there is a longer but better way!). “Only 1 small issue. The hot tub wasn't working properly. It had missing head rests and the jets weren't working properly. I reported it to reception but it seemed nothing was done”

The home is set in a beautiful glen between mountains. It is near the Glencoe visitor center, where we were able to plan out a local hike. There is a greenway trail you will pass over on the driveway that leads to the home. That greenway is a very nicely improved walking path that passes by farmland and a stream. “This was our first visit to the West Highlands and we were not disappointed. A beautifully maintained resort within a spectacular setting. We had planned to visit the islands during the week but found so much to do locally we decided to save the islands for a future visit. “The setting is idyllic in lovely peaceful surroundings, nature all around. The cottage is large, airy and bright and everything you could need was provided. Although quite a distance from Oban, the main road was pretty quiet and a pleasant drive. The pool was an added bonus, but the sauna wasn't working. We were there on the hottest weekend of the year, so didn't need the sauna.”
