“The bungalows are a bit rustic, which I loved. My bungalow was very clean, the bed and pillows are comfortable, the bathroom is spacious and has a great shower. The AC works well. There’s an area by the sink to hang clothes. The refrigerator is spacious. The desk was perfect for me to set up my laptop. I needed to borrow an adapter from the front desk, which was no problem. Overall, it was a great stay and I would stay there again.”

“It was so beautiful and Alvaro’s kindness and graciousness as a host made it even more memorable! We had wonderful adventures in the La Fortuna area and to be able to have some “down time” on the dreamy balcony was so rejuvenating. We’d highly recommend staying here!”

“We spent 2 nights in the hotel. Truly a great find! Each suite is an independent cabaña with its own terrace and garden. The room was very big, comfortable bed and indoors jacuzzi (which we didn’t try) outlooking the garden. Room is well isolated so animals won’t wake you up. “Our stay at Calalun was perfect. Calalun was in the perfect location, was private surrounded by gorgeous landscape and a beautiful view of the volcano. The owners were very accommodating and made sure our stay was comfortable and perfect. The bed was comfortable and the quaint apartment was clean and modern. We had everything we needed and would recommend. The only suggestion would be to light up the Calalun sign a bit more or make it stand out from the road. The kitchen had all the necessities...
