“It's a well-maintained place. My room was the perfect size for me and my needs. The room was clean and had everything I needed. I arrived late but the host accommodated me, told me where to find my keys when I got there, and had taken care of my registration before I arrived. Only one disappointment: I tried to go out on the back porch but the screen door was locked and I couldn't figure out how to unlock it. “Open Hearth is an older facility but very well maintained and clean for a very fair price. The staff was wonderful. We liked the location in Sister Bay, and we enjoyed the amenities such as Continental breakfast, indoor pool and hot tub, multiple fire pits and outdoor furniture. They even have umbrellas for a rainy day and bug spray available for use in the lobby.”

“Very clean and nice area with a water view. Tables and chairs outside the room was a nice touch. Only thing I’d say is offer some fresh brewed coffee in lobby maybe. Those coffee machines in the room or at least ours was basically water not coffee. Ended up walking next door to grab some coffee. And maybe a grill….We would have loved to grill some steaks. Beach across the street was nice though. And jacuzzi. But small touches to amenities I think would go along way. We stayed the next night a...

“Very convenient to downtown Sister Bay.”

“Perfect get away for a couple days. we stayed first time. Love the freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. Coffee was really good at the front area. Water machine and a variety of flavors to add to your water. Played bags/cornhole and ventured across the street to the private beach. Weather was a tad cooler but beautiful sunshine. Relaxed on the lawn chairs. Pool & jacuzzi was refreshing! The main front desk girl was so sweet!! Rooms were very good with balcony. Would stay again!!”

“Great resort! Been there about 4 years ago and it was better than it was then. Beautiful location, great accommodations, and great staff. Best buffet breakfast. It's on 130 acres with great well maintained trails. Everything about Gordon Lodge is exceptional!”

“Clean and comfortable little condo. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was nice to be able to walk to downtown egg Harbor and to the beach just across the street. There was a hiking trail that led from The Landing to the beach and that was very nice as well. Pleasant stay for a weekend in Door County.”
