Although the nearest village of Vallico di Sotto (800m) has no shop or restaurant the small town of Fabbriche di Valico is only 3km along a paved road. As well as Sandra's restaurant there is a second restaurant, well stocked general store, pharmacy, butcher, hairdresser etc and ATM. There is also a petrol station. There is a large supermarket and numerous large shops in Gallicano at 14km.

None of these comments were made during the guests' stay. Had they done so the property manager, who lives 3km away, could have addressed their issues. Alternatively, a refund could have been offered. The family of 4 (2 adults and two children) left one day early. There are 7 single beds and two king size beds available at the property. Although the house dates from 1840 it was fully modernised and rebuilt to current building standards in 2008. The ground floor is not a 'basement'. It has full height doors and windows leading out on to the the terrace. The scorpions are 'Euscorpius Alpha' (see 'www.ntnu.no/ub/scorpion-files') and are common in the Alps and Apennines. Although mildly venomous they are harmless and easily dealt with by picking them up on piece of paper and placing them outside. They are the size of a 1 Euro coin and move very slowly. If guests prefer to kill them a suitable insecticide is provided in the house. The local town of Fabbriche di Vallico is 3 km along a public paved road and has restaurants, shops, fuel, ATM etc.

1. The scorpions are 'Euscorpius Alpha' native to northern Italy and are the size of a one Euro coin. According to "The Scorpion Files" they are described as 'mildly venomous, harmless scorpion which rarely uses its stinger' There have been no issues with stings in the last 10 years. They are easily removed from the house simply by using a piece of card or paper. Had you mentioned this during your stay I would have emailed you the research I have done or you could have looked them up on line. This would have relieved your concerns. 2.The CCTV cameras are not monitored during guests visits and you are at liberty to cover the cameras during your visit. The cameras are for security when the property is unoccupied. Again had you contacted me I could have advised you to cover the cameras. 3. The mattresses are less than 5 years old and given the occupancy rate have had less than a years use.

The property is located less than 3km from the town of Fabbriche di Vallico which has shops, restaurants, ATM, etc and is by the river at the bottom of the Turrite Cava valley. The public road is fully paved up to the property and there is plenty of private on site parking.
