“Amazing stay for families.”

“This hotel is badly in need of a renovation. Wallpaper in the rooms was pealing off or big rips in some area. Hallways are beaten up. They really need to spend some money to get this place comparable to its peers in the same area.”

“The best part about our stay was that the bed was very comfortable. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. the on site restaurant is very good. We were attending an event in the conference center and were able to get an early check in, which was very helpful. ”

“The bathroom needs hooks or towel rails. There was nowhere to hang towels. Many of the tables in the restaurant were dirty.”

“The room was clean. The hotel was extremely dirty around the exterior and in the parking lot. Most of the locks were disabled to enter the building, leaving only one entry point which was right by two geese protecting their nest. As we did not want to disturb them we went out another door and were trapped in a stairwell. Extreme safety hazard. The TV system was confusing. The quality of the breakfast was extremely poor. One staff member began pushing their religious beliefs on our group even...

“Parking was fine. Room was not very clean. The real issue was I originally booked 2 queen beds, but when I rechecked after booking it showed as 2 doubles, so I canceled and rebooked 2 queens. When we went to check in someone was complaining that they booked a queen and the clerk said they didn't have queens. Sure enough our booking was again changed to 2 doubles. When you book it shows as queen beds but they do not have queen beds. Not happy about that. ”

“Air Conditioning in my room did not work, accosted by a junkie in their parkade. Paid for two days, checked out after one night. Staff didn't even bother to ask why I was checking out early. Would never stay here again.”

“This motel is in a VERY dangerous area of Edmonton!! We ended up leaving and booking else-where. DO NOT stay here of you have children.. I wouldn't have even stayed if my kids weren't with me. The parking lot and building was surrounded by obviously high/intoxicated groups of ppl. My 13 year old daughter was harassed walking from our car and there is no security- anyone can just walk in! There was also blood in the bathroom on the wall.. as soon as we saw the room we left, I expressed we did not...

“The rooms are very basic, clean, comfortable bed, very affordable with restrooms and showers down the hall. If you simply require a place to sleep in the Whyte Ave. neighbourhood, the Commercial is a good option. The historic pub downstairs is a bonus. Lots of dining spots within a couple of blocks, plus the nearby Farmers Market, bookshops, and many great local businesses. ”
