“This is a lovely hotel, perfectly located on the beach and next to the ferry terminal. The rooms were lovely and clean and the staff really friendly. The restaurant on the bottom floor of the hotel was an unexpected surprise and the food and service were amazing!
We just wished we had booked to stay longer. The photos of the hotel really don’t do it justice, it’s much nicer even in real-life.”

“The staff is always great. This was my third stay. They are always very accommodating and the place is always very clean. The beds are very comfortable. After a long hot day at the park it is a good place to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet.”

“Perfect for our family of 5 (kids ages 15, 13, 11) for a Cedar Point trip. Breakfast was great. The kids enjoyed the pool and the fire pit is a nice touch. Fitness center is clean and functional and the location is outstanding for proximity to Cedar Point and other activities.
Staff was very accommodating when we needed more towels for the room (only 3 towels to begin with) and a blanket for the pull-out couch bed.

“Was all I needed for the night after a day at Cedar Point. Looks run down and the shower was in need of a replacement. Loud in the rooms could hear the people above us all night and morning. Conveniently located close to Cedar Point. Pool was nice and clean, was definitely a plus. There is a bowling alley and bar/restaurant across the street. That was great for some night time entertainment. Breakfast was crowded but I got what I needed before hitting the road. I could stay here again...

I would advocate for the fact it is older property, yet it is maintained and offers truly affordable rates, favorably, over the option of tearing it down and charging unnecessary higher rates for “new” or “improved.” Thankful for the affordable offerings.”

“The team at Explorer were great to work with. They were super accommodating. We had booked a 3 day stay but the. We realized we needed an extra day.
