Located in a historical 18th century building belonging to the noble Florentine family „Martini-Bernardi“ (ex Palazzo Baroncini). The apartment is on two levels, composed of: a bright living room , a full kitchen, sofa bed, 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms ! with all comforts. The property is directly facing on Santa Croce Square and you have a MAGIC VIEW on the square from its 3 windows . The apartment is of great historical interest. It has been completely redeveloped and is the ideal place to relive the atmosphere of the Florentine renaissance. Exquisitely redeveloped with top quality materials. Wooden parquet flooring with decorative border. Wooden beamed ceiling and walls painted in typically Florentine shades. ( lcd screen tv, dvd player, cd radio player, iron, ironing board, hair dryer, microwave oven, air conditioning, etc , included! ). "

but, this is as close as it gets! the pictures in the listing do not do this apartment justice; it is so much nicer. 2 levels of near perfection on the first floor with views of the church, children walking to school and tourists meandering around. my only criticism, if even one, is that screens in the windows to keep the mosquitos out would make this a 10 out of 10 apartment to rent

Stayed in Florence for one month and enjoyed every minute in this superb flat. Every amenity that we needed and we loved our location..Piazza Santa Croce is full of activity which makes for great people watching out the large double windows, but is about ten minutes away from the big crowded areas. Gianna and Umberto were extremely helpful in making our stay comfortable and I highly recommend Madison Alighieri

The apartment was great, spacious and quiet while overlooking the bustle of Piazza Santa Croce. Everything was spotlessly clean and Gianna was very welcoming although my arrival was slightly delayed. I stayed 5 weeks and found the location perfect for exploration of all areas of the city!

Gorgeous apartment in perfect location. Easily walkable to all the sights. Check-in was simple and Gianna was kind enough to wait for us when we were delayed! Will absolutely be back again!

We booked a VRBO property half-way thru the trip soley to do laundry. So I searched only properties with washing machine. We get there and the owner said the washing machine was broken. We were given 1 towel each (4 guests) to use for 4 days....no way to wash the towels either. When I asked the owner for more towels, she wanted to charge 40 Euro per day for clean towels. We had to check in to a hotel for the remainder of our time in Florence. It was very inconvenient and more expensive.

The two of us really enjoyed this spacious VRBO overlooking the Santa Croce plaza! Seemed less crowded than center town and we were able to walk everywhere very easily. Gianna, the manager, was very kind, easy going, and quick with text responses to our questions. We will definitely stay here again, and recommend it to everyone!

My family of five adults had a wonderful stay in this apartment right on Piazza Santa Croce. Location could not have been any better! Super clean, comfy, incredible view and convenient to all the main attractions in Florence. We walked everywhere. Communication with property manager was great! Loved it all!

I was in Florence for 6 weeks completing my masters degree. I could not have asked for a more comfortable abode! Great air conditioning, roomy shower, lovely primary bedroom that was very quiet, ENORMOUS amounts of storage for clothes. In Piazza Santa Croce where I could go visit Michelangelo whenever I felt like it. Able to walk all over from home base. House cleaning available for extended stays at a really reasonable price. Can not recommend enough!

This property is located in the heart of one of the most special, beautiful, artistic, and vibrant parts of Paris. Located right off the Metro 1, easy accessibly to main attractions all over Paris. Our family was so comfortable and thrilled with our visit and especially our location. Thank you!

Excellent property. Close to all the sites like Duomo, etc. we would highly recommend for a family of four. Very friendly manager and she gave us great restaurant recommendations. The pizza restaurant called IL Pizzaaoula was the best pizza we had ever and great service. Also, there is a fantastic coffee shop with delicious pastries right across the square.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Florence! The property was very nice and appointed well. Having the Basillica de Santa Croce right out our window was amazing. Plenty of space for us and our 2 adult children. Their bedroom was a little tight, but so much better than a hotel would have been. Gianna met us at the room, gave us suggestions on restaurants, markets, etc., and was very helpful and responsive. 5 stars all around! Would definitely stay here again.
