Elegantissimo appartamento, per buona parte affrescato, con affreschi originali del '700. Situato nel pieno centro storico, a 2 passi tra Piazza Santo Spirito e Piazza Pitti e a due passi da Ponte Vecchio e Uffizi. Posizione strategica che consente di spostarsi a piedi e vedere tutte le attrazioni di Firenze. Con terrazza attrezzata con tavoli e sedie, dove poter mangiare o rilassarsi.

Cenni storici:
Il 'Palazzo Bucciolini', che prende nome dalla famiglia, già proprietaria del 'Palazzo Bucciolini, già Pitti', lo acquistò a metà dell'Ottocento, epoca in cui Firenze era capitale d'Italia. Nell'androne d'ingresso, al centro della volta e sulla ronta del cancello, si trova lo stemma della famiglia.
Gli affreschi risalgono alla metà del '700. Come in molti Palazzi Storici non è presente l' ascensore, ma vi sono 22 scalini per arrivare all'appartamento.
La strada dove si trova, Via delle Caladaie,deve il suo nome alle caldaie dell'Arte della Lana che numerose si trovavano nella zona di Oltrarno e che servivano a riscaldare le pozze per effettuare la tintura dei panni.

Amazing property in incredible location

We stayed here for our honeymoon, and were blown away by the space. The location is in a quiet side street off of a great piazza with a neat market every day. The actual rooms were incredible—such a slice of history that we felt like royalty ourselves! It was so nice to have a washer on site, A/C, and a kitchen—it felt homey and had what we needed to stay comfortable!

Beautiful historic building in rather calm area

Eleonora gave us a friendly wellcome and showed us around in the flat. Everything we needed was there and of course the historic details made it something really special.The Santo Spirito area is not as crowded as the rest of Florence, so we enjoyed our stay very much.

Great location

To be living amongst the frescoes was a dream, ridiculous but wonderful. The location is perfect, the apartment is a bit strangely laid out, however serviceable, spacious, and comfortable. The pots & pans left a bit to be desired, nonetheless we were able to do simple cooking.

Nachts im Museum

Wir wurden sehr nett auf englisch von der Hausdame begrüßt. Als die Tür sich öffnete, wurde uns bewußt, wir sind Gäste an einem besonderen Ort. Die Räume sind außergewöhnlich. Im "Wohnzimmer" erzählen Fresken aus dem 18. Jh. von der Ausbildung des Liebesgottes Amor. Der perfekte Ort als Start für unsere Kulturreise. Die Museen sind von hier aus gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Für das Frühstück gibt es in der Nachbarschaft nette Bäckereien und auch für das Abendbrot gibt es genussreichen Angebote in direkter Nähe.

Wonderful historic apartment

The apartment was everything we hoped it would be, old, grand and decoration in keeping with the apartment. The stay helped to make our visit to Florence al the more special. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to asorb some of the history and heritage of Florence. Pictures are a little misleading as they show both apartments to rent, when you get one of this only. But it did not affect our experience at all.

Lavish style and comfort.

This apartment is a stunner. We chose it because we wanted an apartment that matched the history of the city outside. This apartment had much more space than the two of us needed. It was gorgeous. The location was perfect because we were an easy walk from the tourist heart of the city, and plenty of good restaurants and shops, but away from the crowds. There is a secure parking facility around the corner and getting the car in and out of Florence wasn't too difficult. There is, however, no lift in the apartment, and although the apartment is on the first floor, with the high ceilings, it was a fair climb with luggage. Check in was efficient, but the manager did not relieve either of us of one piece of luggage; not so much as a handbag. I was surprised, given our age, her youth and the fact that all other hosts had shown this act of hospitality.

It was perfect

My wife was taking some italian language classes nearby, so my in laws joined us for a few days. My inlaws were so impressed with the room we had a hard time leaving it! Erica and Federico were the perfect hosts. We have excellent memories of the place, hopefully we get an opportunity to go back!

Una location da favola!!!

Ho trascorso un meraviglioso soggiorno con mio marito in questa stupenda dimora, che dire .... al di sopra delle nostre aspettative, bella da togliere il fiato!!!! L'appartamento é elegantissimo, affrescato, ha meravigliosi divani e letti comodi, a garantire un'ottima qualità del sonno, così come ottimale era la sua pulizia. É situato in una zona invidiabile, silenziosa, a due passi da palazzo Pitti e vicino a ristoranti e trattorie tipiche. Siamo stati consigliati durante tutto il soggiorno da Eleonora per ciò che riguardava locali ed attrazioni, mentre Barbara ci ha concesso di lasciare in deposito i bagagli, sia all'arrivo che alla partenza. Un grazie particolare anche ai proprietari per la loro gentilezza e cortesia. Arrivederci a presto

A must for every couple, friends or families!

With a warm welcome of Eleonora we entered the Palazzo and immediately loved it. The entire place was decorated and painted in an astonishingly way. Beautiful. The beautiful view out of the window into the little park and the silence in the middle of a city very calming. A treasure, specially because it is only 5 minutes from the famous gardens of Boboli and another 10 minutes away from the Ponte Vecchio. Perfectly locoated. > The shower was surprisingly spacious and modern, the kids liked it very much.The kitchen is very tiny, but okay if you don't want to cook every evening (there are so many restaurants anyway, why would you). For breakfast you have a little balcony which suits 5-6 persons well though the two tables are bistro tables and not very big. You have a longer table inside the living room. > There is plenty room and the sleeping rooms are really big and comfortable. The matrasses are of good quality, so a good sleep after a long day out is guaranteed. > We definetely come back again and can recommend this for even more than 5 persons

Beautiful and perfect!

Wow, is all I can say. The pictures don't do it justice. From meeting up with Eleonora who checked us in, to the morning we left, everything was just right. Clean, comfortable and spacious, and in a great part of town - no tourists! There is a little bakery right on the corner by the square that also sold eggs and butter .. plenty of restaurants and cafes right on the square with excellent food. This was a great home base for seeing Florence! I hope to stay here again on our next visit.

Wonderful experience

It was a fantastic experience. The wall is unique with original frescos and original finiture. The bathroom and the kitchen are new and even the terrace is great to eat and relax. The location is strategic, close to the main attraction, just 5 min walk to the old bridge. In the street there are many good shops, we suggest the grocery at the corner. There are even many caffee, the most of them in the near square, Santo Spirito. So even if there are some noises they did not disturb us during the night.

Beautiful Apartment

The Venere apartment is a beautiful and spacious one bedroom apartment that I would highly recommend. The apartment is very clean, the owners are very professional and all of the pictures accurately reflect the space. My wife and I stayed there when we got married in Florence and we felt like we were staying at a luxury hotel suite instead of a flat. I have stayed in numerous 4+ star hotels in Florence and Venere is by far superior - you would not get anything even remotely close for double the price. It is also conveniently located near Piazza Santo Spirito close to everything but refreshingly away (10-15 minute walk) from the city center and the throngs of tourists. Venere was a great find and we had a fantastic stay!

wonderful stay in Venere flat:amazing holidays

We loved staying here. Elly was a terrific host. She arrived on time, took ample time to give us a complete lay of the land, including some terrific recommendations on restaurants (Mario's - amazing veal and steak; Gusta Pizza - best pizza we've ever had; Carreia - better gelati than Grom). She also got us into the Uffizi despite our not having reservations. The flat was clean, fun and had everything you could possibly need. We even did a small load of laundry! You cannot beat the price, location and Elly's charm. We recommend this flat highly.

Nous recommandons chaudement cet appartement - extrèmement bien localisé : près du ponte vecchio (5 min. de marche) mais également : - boucherie, boulangerie, patisserie et marché à proximité, - restaurants, pizza a emporter, cafés à 200 mètres De plus, une communication sans aucun problème, Eleonora, notre contact, nous a réservé un acceuil très agréable ainsi qu'une masse d'informations tant pratiques qu'utiles ou touristiques. Quant au cadre... les photos parlent d'elles-même : authentique, propre, bien équipé, modernisé là où nécessaire, etc... rien à redire. We highly recommend this apartment - extremely well located: near the Ponte Vecchio (. 5 min walk) but also: - Butchers, bakers, pastry and nearby market, - Restaurants, pizza takeaway, café by 200 meters In addition to a communication without any problem, Eleonora, our contact, gave us a very nice welcome and a mass practical, usefull or tourist information. About the building or the appartment... the pictures speak for themselves: authentic, clean, modernized where necessary, etc ... nothing to complaint about. We are a family of 5 (kids 17, 12 and 7 years old) and we had a very enjoyable extended weekend. Nous sommes une famille de 5 personnes (enfants de 17, 12 et 7 ans) et nous avons passé un weekend prolongé fort agréable.

Our time in Florence was enhanced by the wonderful Elly who not only introduced us to the magnificent property but guided our roaming through this amazing city. Have You Ever Stayed at Versailles?

Staying in this fabulous Palazzo was like living in a museum. Where to start? Santo Spirito is literally the perfect location! I wanted to live like a local and I did. Convenient to absolutely everything you want to see, as well as everything you need, I mean within a ten minute walk, but away from all the tourists. Did I say charm? Frescoes on the walls and ceiling, beautiffully decorated in old world style but eclectically mixed with modern bathroom and kitchen. Then step outside and be greeted with cozy cafes and trattoria around the square, kind and friendly neighbors and shopkeepers, artisan studios and workshops and boutiques hidden on tiny cobblestone streets. Veramente, ho sento come io habito da Paradiso! The apartment was immaculate and very comfortable. I felt safe and at home, come la mia casa. Dealing with Elly was a pleasure. If I needed anything, she was available and completely helpful immediately. My stay in Palazzo Bucciolini was my idea of heaven. And if you want to truly experience authentic Italian living, you will not surpass Santo Spirito for location. I cannot believe how fortunate I was to be able to stay in this dream space and if anything, my experience has only increased my desire to move to Italy. Thank you Francesco, Elly and the other staff who helped me. Spero tourno per la Primavera!

The best location and stay!

The one bedroom apartment was very suitable for two seperate sleeping quarters. The ooms very spacious and frescos were amazing. Large windows let breezes in but air conditioning also worked very comfortably. The bathroom was small but modern with plenty of hot water. Checking was a breeze with Elli being the perfect person to introduce you to the neighborhood. She was always prompt and available to answer questions via messaging. San Spirito square was most amazing with markets (produce, cheeses, clothing, kitchen wares) and new vendors appeared each day. There are wonder restaurants around the square and surrounding area. We loved how families with children and musicians would congregate in this area. We found it hard to leave. Walking across the Arno was a quick trip and all museums were close by. We totally loved staying here and the support services from Elli were outstanding.

Fab flat and location

Thank you. We could not have had a more perfect Firenze apartment. Exactly as it appears in the pictures and the best location. Eli the property manager is gracious, accommodating and a great source for info. Especially restaurant recommendations. She definitely helped take our time there to the next level. Mille grazia

Comfortable, spacious, and quiet.

The property is as pictured in the VRBO listing. The checkin was easy. The location in Santo Spirito is perfect, and just half a block from the Piazza. What we liked about the apartment is: it is quiet, clean, and well-kept; the kitchen is large enough to prepare meals and has supplies to get started; bathroom is modern; towels and sheets are hotel quality; the terrace is nice; and the air conditioning works well. The owner and his representative, Eleonora were responsive to our requests. The apartment is spacious, but given its configuration, it is not sunny. However, that shouldn't matter because visitors should be out and about enjoying this great neighborhood.
