“Great stay for our weekend trip. The entrance to the parking lot was odd. The hotel room was immaculate. The staff was super nice. We really enjoyed it and would definitely stay again. Breakfast was okay. The waffles were the best part. We didn’t use the pool or even go in the pool area so I can’t comment on that. Don’t recommend using the vending machine either. It gave me a drink that expired 5 months prior.”

“We booked this hotel, even though it was more expensive than the Hampton Inn, largely because of its emphasis on a “really great breakfast.” Breakfast is important to us, so we thought the higher rate might be worth it. Unfortunately, it wasn’t. First, there weren’t even tea bags in the room, so if hot tea is your favorite morning beverage, you have to get dressed and head downstairs before you can have your first cup. The breakfast itself was no better than what we’ve experienced at Hampton...

“Planned a short getaway to hike Mount Mitchell and this place could not have been more perfectly located to the trailhead. The Lodge is newly built, and ground are impeccably well maintained. The staff was super helpful. They even came by to drop off a lighter so the firepit could be put to use. They have a common use area with a ktichen and grills that can be utilized which is an added bonus as I don’t recall reading about all they had available to make the stay above and beyond expectations....
