“Overall good stay. Several of the windows did not close fully wish let bugs in and the parking is tight but you can use the garage which helps. It is a nice location right on the lake. All in all it is convenient and nice for a short getaway. ”

“We really enjoyed our stay. The location in reference to downtown was great. You are about 3 miles from downtown Highlands. The cottage was clean and well equipped for us. If you’re lucky, you may see wildlife like we did. A deer showed up one early evening and we were visited by 2 rabbits just about every day late afternoon. “The Treehouse Suite at The Calhoun House is a great property. This particular suite is located in a separate building from the other suites, which was ideal for us, as we had our baby and toddler with us. We did not worry about disturbing other guests if he cried or was a little loud. Edward was amazing as we checked in. He had some food essentials in the refrigerator and had some scrumptious treats from the local bakery. The suite was well stocked with toiletries and kitchen supplies and was...

“My room had all the important requirements, clean sheets, bathroom, and floors. Shower had hot water and great water pressure. The owner was kind enough to allow me keep my flowers outside on the sidewalk in front of my room. Nice and friendly old style motor lodge that were so prominent in my youth in the 60’s and 70’s. ”
