Hotel vicino a French Market - Chicago

“Colazione nella norma. Camere pulite anche se in tre giorni non sono mai passati a pulire e sistemare la camera. Neppure cambiato gli asciugamani. Al secondo giorno sono dovuta andare io a chiederli puliti. Per il resto un po’ lontano da Downtown ma è stata una nostra scelta personale perché i prezzi in periferia sono decisamente più bassi”

“Hotel comodo se ci si deve muovere in zona, un po' meno per visitare Chicago, visto il traffico intenso che richiede almeno un'ora per arrivare in centro. L'hotel è pulito come la camera, ma il servizio di pulizia camera pare sia a richiesta. Su 5 notti, la camera è stata rifatta 2 volte quando è stato da noi richiesto alla reception. La colazione è standard, yougurt, bagel, waffle. Alcuni piatti caldi a rotazione, tipo le uova. Caffè sempre disponibile. ”

“The staff were all too much talking to each other and didn’t greet us right away to check in! Had to walk to the front desk to get extra towels.”

“We could barely breathe when we opened the last door to enter our back annex. It was either a wall of chemicals that had not had any fresh air in decades or really old smoker smell that had years ago permeated every fabric in our room. Super unhealthy. Would not wish that musty smell on anyone!! Ugh.”

“Hotel currently going under massive renovations and no notice of such was provided prior to booking. Very misleading.”

“I would’ve just packed up and gone to a different hotel had I not been so exhausted upon check in. Hallways looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed in weeks. Exterior back door remained unlocked at all times. Dried semen on the bedspread with a pleasure pack of condoms still left in the nightstand. Pillowcases were questionable; I picked the cleanest looking one. Thankfully I brought my travel can of Lysol. Breakfast was mediocre at best. Lukewarm sausage links, okay scrambled eggs,...

“So apparently this property allows tenants to rent by the week. All day and all night the tenants would congregate right behind the office and talk and yell so loud that anyone trying to do business. Oh I forgot about the barking dogs and the different tenants yelling at either the dogs/children to be quiet and or behave. I reported it to the front desk and finally around 12:45 am the noise stopped!”

“Parking was good, and we liked the location. Breakfast was also good. No complimentary water at check in, and lobby store is very expensive. The room was spacious and comfortable. The tub had no mat and only one vertical grab bar, so was risky for me. The pool was a disappointment for me. I use the pool as therapy for my bad legs. I can't use a ladder, need steps to get in/out. So we might stay again for short stay but not longer ones at the holidays. ”

“The called “restaurant and bar” is tiny, and there is not food 24/7 as advertised. Not enough room to eat breakfast and was very average. Room was cleaned but it is very small and the location of the bathroom very awkward, no microwave in kitchenette area. Gym tiny.”
