“Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!!”

“The room was spacious and comfortable. The furniture was worn and scarred but serviceable. The property is located downtown, making it convenient but also in an area where it felt unsafe to be out alone after dark. I felt the price was very reasonable for what I received.”

“The suite is old, and so may not appeal to everyone. It doesn't have AC so could be a hot box in summer, but there are plenty of fans and lots of open windows. There is lovely, tiny balcony off the kitchen, facing the back garden. I stayed for just one evening and was quite comfortable. The place suited me perfectly. I like that you park your vehicle in front of your room and it’s very affordable to stay here. Very quiet as it’s just outside Port Hope, but all amenities are within a 5-10 minute drive.”

“I stayed here for four nights. The room was clean and quiet. Quiet until the fourth day when a woman with a dog occupied the room beside me. She left the dog in the room for three hours and it barked non-stop. So, be prepared to hear your neighbor if you are unfortunate enough to have one who is inconsiderate. Otherwise, for the price, this hotel is worth the stay. There's several places to eat within a two to five minute walk.”

“Worst dirtiest disgusting motel ever!! Walls, door, door handle, tv etc etc either has not been wiped clean in a long long time or it was wiped with dirty water ! Smudges and film on everything! TV screen was so dirty it had streaks and a thick film . Room smelled like cigarettes.. air conditioner did not blow cold and was very smelly/ humid air coming out .. bed had multiple layers of padding and sheets making it lumpy and disgusting.. asked for another room and this was given but second room...

“Loved everything! Never done B&B and I think I was spoiled. Spacious room, Nice bed, pillows, lighting, t.v, jacuzzi tub, or shower and an eclectic mix of items and paintings/photos to look at. Also you will not get breakfast like that at a hotel. Served when YOU are ready to eat. My kind of place. Martin and Petra are kind and direct hosts. If they were all like this I would NEVER stay in a hotel again.”

“The rooms were clean, their staff were very friendly and helpful. Access to the River Trail and to the Lift lock Cruise was very convenient.”

“We stayed here for a night. The room was very comfortable and had air-conditioning. The staff are very very friendly. They let us park our car there after we checked out so that we could use our bikes to go on a bike ride on the waterfront trail there in Bowmanville. Close by there is a splash pad for kids to play around in. It’s right on Lake Ontario, where you could go for a dip too.”
