“Greated by the owner. Very friendly and gracious host. Given an option of room style. Parking lot spotless, parking in front of room. Opened the door to room, and WOW! Never seen or stayed in such a spotless room. Bed linens, bathroom, dressing area, windows, blinds, everything amazingly clean and neat. Would give a plus plus rating and recommend to all going to the Port Hope area. Lovely downtown with multiple choices of restaurants. Don't snooze anywhere else and miss out on this one!”

“My room was very clean, nicely decorated to make anyone feel instantly comfortable. There was lots of parking space conveniently located for everyone. The breakfast became the highlight of my stay, the food was prepared to order and was delicious with freshly baked muffins the first few days and topped off with homemade everything sourdough bagels. Many thanks to the owners and their staff for an enjoyable stay.”

“fabulous. once the construction to the new water services are complete it will be amazing. the current grotto is a bit small and the hot tub quite grungy. the house with the gym is really good. fiod is beyond delicious”

“Studio 1 Motel was a great little place to stay. Close to the 401, but right next to gas stations, restaurants, and a grocery store, it was convenient to get to. The room was clean and well set up. The pillows were very thin, but this was the only thing we noticed as less than ideal. It was quiet and we didn't notice any noise from outside the room. Overall, it was an excellent place to stay for a reasonable price. We will definitely be going back to stay again. Thank you.”

“The cottages are great! Have everything you need to escape the city. We aren't big on fishing, but if you are, this place would be amazing for you. Fishing boats + an area for cleaning fish is available. The pool is great! The water is a little chilly, but a great reprieve on a hot day. The only negative is if you have a dog with you, there arent a ton of places to walk them that aren't just around other people's properties or a short drive away. “The Emilyville Inn is a gorgeous old home. The wide plank pine floors and antique furniture were impressive. Kimberly, our hostess, was very welcoming and friendly upon arrival. She showed us around before taking us to our room, which was just lovely. We had a great night's sleep and a wonderful "full" breakfast the next morning. I highly recommend a stay here. “The location is unbelievable! There was no communication leading up to our visit so we had no idea what we'd need to make the kitchen usable - dishes were bare minimum.”

Rough shoreline with no useable docs and lots of garbage. Not provided enough towels or blankets. No dish cloths or hand towels. Only hand soap provided. ”
