“We had an amazing stay at the Courtland hotel. The owner Frank made us feel like family. His passion for the history of Fort Scott and the hotel was contagious. Fort Scott is such a perfect charming town. So grateful we visited in our way to Kansas State.”

“Parking was easy and close to the front entrance. Front desk still had Covid protocol in place (clear barriers) on Front Desk. Room was clean Restaurant was a joke!”

His exceptional interactions with us continued throughout our stay! Also, the hotel service staff were all very friendly, kind and efficient! “I will never stay at this property again. The room I checked into had a dirty comfort and soiled sheets with bodily fluids and hair. I moved to a second room which had no soap in the pump at the sink and one kleenex in the box. The bathroom floor around the toilet was dirty. Shower had very little pressure. Pillows are not comfortable. No attendant at the desk the second time I went to report problems so I just had to deal with it for themight. I waited 10-15 minutes . A very disappointing...

“The breakfast was by far the best I have ever experienced. Parking was good. We didn’t use the pool but it was easy access as well as the fitness center. It was a busy weekend due to graduation. We arrived at 4:20 and had to wait for our room to be ready. We had a suite and there were no plates to use. The couch was uncomfortable. The staff was very pleasant. We received emails offering services. Breakfast was phenomenal so we left happy.”

“I always stay here. It’s by far the best in town. I had a problem with my room- the AC in my first room was knocking- talked to the front desk and they was able to switch me rooms ”

“The window screen was broken and ripped. The breakfast was severely underwhelming. Staff was not available and had to wait 20 minutes for service. Outside doors did not shut and lock. There was a drug bust outside of our room. Not sure if they are remodeling, but there were water stains on the ceiling and stains on the floor. No grab bars in shower and tub was extremely slippery.”
