“The heat was not on in the room but didn't take long to warm up. Friendly staff. I loved the restaurant next door on my last trip there but it is closed now so had to go into town for dinner. ”

“What an intriguing town and the Elk River Hotel is definitely the place to stay in Sutton. Emily is a native and warm and welcoming and Francisco is a joy. Don't miss his delicious Latin breakfast which is included in the price. The website could use updating. The restaurant at the hotel is closed, though there is a weekend bar, and a good place to eat in town is the Braxton Bistro. The hotel is situated directly on the Elk River in a beautiful spot. Try the glamping unless you have dog....

“Air conditioner was good for 1 day then I changed it to heat and that was also good. The temperature was 85 degrees then got cold. I stayed on the first floor for the first time and got a room with a comfortable long lounge chair. The hotel very clean and staff was extremely accommodating and superbly attentive to my every need. They gave me free bottled water, coffee & Tea 24/7. I forgot my toothpaste and they had one for me on the house. If I had to say something bad… The only thing I could...

“The property was beautiful but the rooms could use a little TLC. We didn't have hot water so showers were a bit uncomfortable. Tile grout in the bathroom was very old and dirty. Overall the stay was nice but not really worth the price ”
