“I booked a superior room for 2 nights with my wife. We arrived about 2.30pm and the room wasn’t ready. There was some confusion from the front desk about our later dinner reservation, the receptionist stated I didn’t have a booking and despite my assertions she didn’t really seem to believe that I had booked it months ago. “Lovely country house hotel, friendly staff, excellent dinner and breakfast and good value. ”

“The accommodation was good although they were undertaking refurbishment works to the corridor where I was accommodated. Breakfast was very good. Bed was comfortable. Staff were good. Could not get into the restaurant on one evening - so booking is required. The snack bar was just ok, nothing to write home about. Parking was easy - lots of space. The grounds were good to walk around. Would book here again.”

“Had to click on something to get to this part of the review. Never actually stayed at the hotel, but spoke to a lady called Catherine who was brilliant! We had to cancel due to family commitments, but good old Expedia wouldn’t refund as they said I was too late to do as, but I took out the cancellation cover with them which said I could cancel up to the 3/5, but they thought different. I will never use Expedia again. You need to speak to people not robots!!”

“The Woden Boutique Inn is a gem. Relatively easy to drive to with a private car park. The virtual check-in worked well. Entering one finds a lovely and very clean space. The ambience is quiet and is situated near a park. The Woden is not far from M&S Food and Morrisons. Within a mile there are eating establishments. Rooms are furnished with a kettle, small refrigerator and microwave. Plates, cups and cutlery are available. The room had an en suite bathroom with a strong hot shower. The bed was...
