Hotel a Grotta Mammoth Cave

“We booked last minute late at night after the our first accommodations were less than desirable and we were greeted and checked in promptly with great compassion. We travel with a service dog and everything was perfect. Breakfast was busy with lots of spring break travelers but they did a great job keeping up with cleaning and refilling the breakfast station. Overall very friendly and accommodating.”

“The room was fine. Nothing fancy but we weren’t looking for anything fancy. The floor had obvious water damage but that doesn’t matter and you could hear the bed springs. The worst part was the other guests that came in late with two cars. Obviously they had been drinking as they were talking loudly and banging their car doors and locking and unlocking the car doors making the horn honk again and again. Their headlights faced right in to our window that faced the parking lot so every time they...

“The room was disgusting. Mold, rust, dead bugs, and cob webs in the room. Thankfully the gentleman at the counter was kind and understood my concerns and gave me a full refund. This place needs to be updated and they need better cleaning staff. ”

“Check-in and check-out process was easy. Staff was friendly. There was a mini-fridge and microwave in the room. It would have been nice to have a coffee maker in the room, but parking was easy and it was a short drive to surrounding cities and Mammoth Cave National Park. It was a great budget place to shower and sleep after a long day of hiking and exploring.”

“Rooms smelled terrible, dirty sheets, sticky floor, hard to flush toilet and broken air conditioner in one of our two rooms. When we asked for help he turned the fan on and said to have a nice night”

“Pros…bed was comfortable, air conditioning worked, pool was ok, hot tub needs resurfacing, breakfast was nice. Cons…mold on the bathroom and on the window, room was very dirty, hallways smelled bad, flooring was coming up in hall, elevator, and room, towel bars and toilet paper holder rusted. I can’t believe Wyndham has their name on this place. We won’t use this hotel again.”

“Door didn't latch to our room unless you slammed it shut. Felt like you were going to rip the plumbing out of the shower when trying to turn on the shower. Had to ask the front desk how to turn on the shower. Water didn't get very hot for the shower. ”

“The toilet tank did not fill properly. I told them about it, and they said yes room 111 has an issue with the toilet. No maintenance on hand to fix it. I had to use a 5 gallon bucket that I had to flush toilet. And yet they had the nerve to charge me $25.00 for our 7.5 pound toy poodle that basically drank their water. UNBELIEVABLE !!! I would not recommend staying there. Bad customer service.”
