“It is not often that a hotel becomes the highlight of your vacation. THORNBUrY IS THE EXCEPTION TO THAT RULE! We felt to transported to hundreds of years in the past in terms of the architecture and the style of interior furnishings. At the same time, it had all of the service amenities, quality of fixtures and furnishings, food anf service that is expected of a five star hotel. Well worth the price of our stay, we so wish to return.”

“Clean room with very helpful staff. Unfortunately I did not have breakfast due to my early starts. The Wi-Fi was free easy to connect to. Great value and very comfortable nights sleep.”

“All the staff were very friendly and everywhere was clean and tidy. If you were later than 09.00 am for breakfast, the choice was not so good than if you had turned up earlier, that was our feeling. The Saturday evening meal was not totally satisfactory because there was not enough staff and we booked a table at 20.30 but did not eat until 21.45. The server did his best but was over powered with the demands of trying to keep up with the orders. Maybe the kitchen staff were understaffed as...
