I was not provided with directions to my room, information regarding the complimentary pastries and coffee, or any notice that two weddings were taking place on the property during my stay, which resulted in a higher level of noise than expected. But the rooms are very good -- very spacious and comfortable. There is no microwave, which is a shame, but there is a small fridge. There is a nice exercise room, and there is a hot tub in use, but the pool has no heat. There are pluses and minuses here.”

“Price was very reasonable. It is a problem that there is most of the time no one in the office. Thus, it is really difficult to address issues, particularly in the evening. The TV went out in the evening, and we decided not to bother anyone. Bed was excellent. Location is quiet. Coffee in the office is great, but it would be better in the room. Suggest installing better clothes hanging capability in room. Overall, good value.”

“The historic Inn is beautifully maintained and updated and provides a unique experience of staying in a home dating back to the 1600's. Breakfast was delicious and Megan the cook was welcoming and helpful. We always stay at the Black Walnut Inn when in Amherst!”

“The staff at front desk were rude! I have been trying to get in touch with a supervisor from this property for over a week now! I paid the full bill for the stay in Expedia and Fairfield Auburn charged me AGAIN for the room and is now refusing to refund my money. On top of all of that, Expedia is refusing to assist. I will NEVER use Expedia and and I will NEVER stay at another Fairfield Inn. Your customer service is pathetic.”
