“The host communicated from right after I confirmed our stay. She responded each time I wrote a message and was very helpful and informative. The place was a bit deep in the volcano area and we were very happy with the quiet and privacy. The house was amazing, clean, comfortable and very accommodating. The hot tub sealed the deal. Mahalo.”

“As advertised and more! It was a shame we didn't have time to thoroughly explore their beautiful grounds and giftshop. I told my wife about the highly rated vegetation cafe and she said, "well I'm not a vegetarian.". Then she tried the tiny fresh baked loaf of sweet bread they kindly left in the fridge(perfect after volcano viewing snack), Then when I asked "How about now?". She replied "I think I might be a vegetarian!". Delicious! Thanks again for a wonderful stay!”

“We loved the house and its close setting to the shore, where you could see sunrise, big waves, dolfins and turtles. The area of rainforest and fresh lava fields is amazing. So spend a few more nights on Big Island and visit that spot! Its absolutely worth it.”

“Our stay at the kahena beach cottage was amazing. It was on the rainforest side, which gave us a wonderful "off the beaten path" experience and It was directly across from kahena beach, which is a nude beach so be mindful of that before bringing your kids and making the nude people uncomfortable ( watched this happen). The inside of the cabin was very clean ,comfortable and up to date. 10 out of 10 rating”

“The hosts are gracious and very welcoming. If you’re looking for that intimate, indoor outdoor big island experience, this might be the place for you. Very peaceful and an excellent place for meditation or grounding with the Hawaiian lands. Take the time to slow down and really soak it in Mahalo”

“Loved having a home away from home on the big island. We explored the Hilo side from here for a few days. Place is well situated for visiting National Park. We went to see eruption multiple times in a day. Two full bathrooms in mirrored split plan home. Our bed was very comfortable and bedroom is carpeted which was nice during chilly mornings. We would recommend a stay. This is not a fancy high end accommodation. It is clean, comfy and homey. Reminded me of my grandparents’ vacation home. ”

“Perfect for proximity to opening ceremonies of Merry Monarch of which our daughters halau was a participant. Would definitely stay again, also close to Volcano National park. Had everything we needed, quiet, secluded, reasonably priced. Mahalo nui Linaka and Lee”

“I loved staying in this little cottage! The main house is close by but that didn’t detract from the peacefulness. It’s decorated super cutely, the bed was comfy and has everything you need for a stay close to the national park. Opening the big doors next to the bed makes you feel like you’re in the middle of the rainforest - surrounded by vegetation with birds chirping. ”

“Very nice hotel closed to the city Center of Hilo. The hotel is fully renewed and it embraces the spirit of Big Island and Hilo particularly, with respect to the planet and providing nice amenities for Yoga and meditation. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff very nice. I couldn’t ask for a better stay ”

"Struttura datata ma ok se non si hanno pretese. La vetrata che portava al poggiolo aveva bisogno di un bastone per esser chiusa in sicurezza. Clima non presente ma eravamo già stati avvisati..è bastato il ventilatore. Per gli stessi soldi credo si trovi di meglio."

"Beside the gorgeous garden and an acceptable breakfast, the whole structure needs a major restoration. Broken windows, uneven floor, dust, rust just to name some of the issues"
