“Mike was a great host and gave us easy ideas about entertaining kids. Also directions to find food and other services nearby. The place is like a dormitory, no frills, but everything you need for preparing you own food and getting a good nights rest. It’s an older lodge but everything was sparkling clean and well-maintained. I’d recommend it to friends.”

“The Cozy Tropical Retreat was just as advertised. It was located in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to parking through a dedicated guest security gate. The bed was comfortable and the full kitchen had everything we needed to prepare great meals. Raul was quick to respond to our questions and special requests. The AC worked great. I wish we would have had more time to spend in Hilo at the Guest House. The guest information book was a masterpiece!”

The studio was recently renovated and had all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay, including a cozy bed, a spacious bathroom, and a well-equipped kitchen. “Very nice pool and view of the pool from the balcony. Especially enjoyed the hammock.Beds were comfortable. Unit was clean and well appointed, although keeping ice was a bit of a challenge due to the quite small freezer.Had a bit of trouble regulating the shower temp. At times it was only hot hot hot!! Not the best shower head as well, unable to adjust.Beach towels were not provided, something we have not experienced at other locations.Hosts were readily available to answer questions and...
