“Check in/out was very smooth. Room was clean, a/c worked well. Bed was very comfortable. Good location for walking tourist in the Pearl district.”

“Booked a room for an overnight before heading to the coast. We had a wonderful meal at the lobby restaurant and the gentleman who served us was so accommodating ! Room was very clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the Starbucks in room coffee. We had a few hours to kill in Portland and the staff graciously allowed us to store our luggage in a secure spot. I would certainly book another stay at the Benson. Location was perfect and allowed us to walk to the rail to access our next destination as well...

“Music plays until midnight, but you know this going in. The only really annoying thing is the room cards demagnetize very easily. I was carrying it in my pocket next to a credit card and it stopped working. Both mine and my girlfriends failed. They need to get a better system, rather than blaming us for having it next to something magnetic. Never had this issue at any other hotel.”

“The property fit our needs and was clean and comfortable. Our room was clean and quiet, and the view of the bridge was very nice. We ate breakfast at the restaurant twice during our 3-evening stay and it was good. The portions were generous and the service was excellent. We didn't use any of the amenities and didn't need parking so I can't speak to those items. Check in was easy and fast and everyone was very professional. We arrived before we could check in and they stored our luggage for us so...

“Excellent, comfortable, clean room. Easy parking. Friendly, helpful staff. We spend time in Portland every Summer, and for the last three years the Viking has been our Portland home. We hope to stay there again next Summer. We stayed there five nights this Summer.”
