Cottage a Holy Island

“This was the best place we stayed in England. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. We bought oven ready meals and cooked them. Made a salad. Good times. Lovely garden in back overlooking Pub. It was easy walking to grocery and Pub. ”

“My wife and I spent a very pleasant week at Cygnet Cottage, using it as a base to explore the Northumberland Coast and local area. This particular accommodation is ideal for a couple. The living area is well furnished and comfortable. The kitchen equipment all worked fine and there was an adequate supply of crockery, cutlery, and tools. The bathroom was small but perfectly usable with a decent, electric, shower. Upstairs was the bedroom with good storage facilities and a comfortable double bed...

“Beautiful little cottage with stunning views, host was friendly and easy to get in touch with. The space was family/dog friendly and clean with plenty of amenities. The only thing we were hoping for was a washing machine but we were able to do a couple of hand washes whilst we were there. Would recommend and would definitely return!”

“The cottage was first class, clean, spotless and really comfortable. It offered really easy access to local holiday locations, we loved the wildlife and the lical farm animals”

“Amazing as always.”

“Lovely dog friendly property in a beautiful location with views over to Holy Island. The owner had thoughtfully provided a telescope, which was much appreciated. The house was well equipped, with comfy beds and lounge seating. ”

“We had a lovely break at River View Cottage.Even before we had arrived the hosts had reached out to us to welcome us to the property and ask if we had any requests they could help with.Entry to the property was a dream with fantastic clear instructions, the property was wonderfully clean, bright and warm ( very cold outside the weekend we visited). There was a beautiful welcome pack waiting for us upon entry and a concise set of notes for the house.River View gave us everything we needed to...

“Beautiful and well-appointed property. We were very comfortable. We had everything we needed and more. Lovely details have been added to this renovation. The surrounding land, access to beach, and peacefulness added to the enjoyment of our stay. ”

“Property is well located and beds are comfy. It was very cold in the property when we arrived as the thermostat had been turned to 10 degrees and there were no matches to light the fire. The whole property felt like it needed a bit of a refresh.....walls marked, some mirrors cracked, doors & handles chipped, kitchen equipment mismatched and well used, some kitchen equipment broken, dining room chair broken and not usable. The shower has a slanted roof so not ideal as you have to duck to prevent...

“Gorgeous accommodation really cosy and had everything you needed - close to pubs and amazing views and walks we had a great time would stay again and highly recommend”

“Lovely, comfortable cottage, beautifully dressed for Christmas. Great responsive and helpful host. We had a wonderful time.”

“Lovely cottage, super clean and beautifully renovated. We really appreciated the crisps and dog treats :) Parking right outside was handy. Beautiful log burner for a cosy night. Beds were super comfy. My daughter loved the smart-tech in the bathroom showing how much her shower cost. A bit tricky with our 4-legged friends. Stairs too steep for our small dogs, but we barricaded the bottom with our suitcases ok. We were expecting a Deck/Patio as listed but its an open area down some stone steps,...

“Nice cosy dog friendly cottage in a great location. Very friendly host. Cottage was very well equipped for a great week's stay”

“Brilliant place, lots to do around the area, lovely village and very friendly people, definitely go back”

“The cottage is ideally located and the off street parking is a bonus. The property is well laid out and spacious with everything you could need for a relaxing break. We would not hesitate to return. Only a couple of suggestions to make the stay even better. There was a faint smell of drains in the bathroom which built up if the door was closed. The wooden frame round the bed had corners which could catch your legs when walking round it due to the close proximity of the wardrobe. More room...
