“The hotel is located in the village of Blockley, one of our favourite villages in the Cotswolds, as it is completely untouristy and truly charming. It is also very close to other villages, all easily reachable within 10–15 minutes by car. The hotel rooms are a bit dated, but the staff were extremely kind and even upgraded our room, giving us a very lovely and comfortable accommodation. Breakfast, ordered from the menu, was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay”

“Room very basic, tired, dated. Smelt like strong bleach. Furniture scuffed. No wardrobe or drawers for clothes. Shower was hot and powerful though”

“It was very exciting staying in a castle. We had the family room which was very quaintly laid out with a single bed in its own part of the small turret, through a stone arch. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was served in a box in our room with loads of choice, and fresh produce in a mini fridge which was lovely. The area is stunning. Il pub è molto caratteristico e la camera era accogliente e pulita, con tutti i prodotti necessari e anche qualche coccola in più, molto apprezzata, come cioccolata e biscotti. Menzione d'onore al letto, che era comodissimo. Abbiamo dormito veramente bene! Anche la colazione ottima!!! “We had a one night stay here. V reasonably priced. Super cute and well appointed shepherd hut in the grounds of The Bell Inn, where we had a fab evening meal. Staff were very friendly and helpful too. Couldn’t fault it. Would highly recommend.”

“The property definitely has the WOW factor in terms of location and access to the Silverstone facilities. However dont go with any expectation of self catering, minimal facilities which dont include a basic toaster and less than adequate utensils. It appears there’s an assumption that you will eat at the restaurant which looks incredible but quite costly if there for evening meal and breakfast!”
