“Only stayed for 1 night . Room was clean and staff very friendly . Booked an evening meal too and the food was very good . Only one thing to mention was the mattress could do with an upgrade. ”

“The bedroom was spacious and clean. Everywhere was clean and in good condition - no peeling paint or mustiness you sometimes get with old buildings. The staff could not do enough for you. Everywhere was warm and comfortable. The bars were busy enough to have ambience, but not packed. The pool was brill.”

“The hotel is fine, the bed is comfortable, they have a nice outdoor area, breakfast and wifi connection are decent, iron and iron board are provided in the corridor for anyone to take to their room, I appreciated the coffee and the biscuits in the room, so all in all, for my travelling style, I would come back again Having said that I must point out the aspect needing improvement as I heard other customers being set off by those 1st and most annoying, the absence of anyone in the hotel....

“The ceiling was leaking liquid down the bathroom wall. The room was not set up for 2 people. There should be a shelf in the shower to hold shampoo, wash gel, etc. Could not figure out how to turn on towel warmer. Upside is the you g lady at the reception desk was very responsive. ”

“Had a nice night at the George. Staff in the pub and restaurant were great. The room was large and comfortable. Bed was huge. Managed to park opposite on the public pay& display but parking could be an issue ”

“Rooms old very small mine was the premium version still small but did have a modern bathroom could hear people from outside from the pub people walkingpast not the best ,bar was being run by recepton staff breakfast room nice breakfast was ok staff was friendly under staffed though confirmed late checkout was changed on the day not happy value for money expensive would i go again no ”
